Jane O’Hara will describe her journey to compassion for animals and her path to becoming vegan through art focused on animals.

O’Hara’s paintings are informed by what she has learned about animals - often behind the scenes in food systems, vivisection and entertainment. During the process of painting animals, as the animals looked back at her - their gaze added to O’hara’s level of compassion.

BARC is an enthusiastic group who are taking on Brown University Alpert Medical School for their use of live pigs in medical testing.
