MOIRA MCLAUGHLIN

Moira McLaughlin, painted her dox-ZENS after the death of her 17-year-old long-haired, dachshund and subsequent struggle with grief and an inability to create. The series of 12 sumi –e ink paintings are a meditation on the Buddhist belief that the mind is a series of three processes: craving, acting, and discontentment. They reflect the joy and heartbreak of loving a dog, and pay tribute to her beloved muse named Darby.
